The basic raw diet consists of 80% meat, 10% bone, 10% organ (5% of which must be liver) from a variety of meat sources to provide the balanced nutrients required and help prevent food intolerances. Ideally aim for at least four different protein sources, rotating them and/or mixing them on a weekly or monthly basis.
Start with one protein source to help your dog’s digestive system adjust, chicken is best as even the most sensitive can tolerate it. Slowly introduce different protein sources one at a time.
You may need to add supplements, other food types (such as eggs or fish) and even consider fruit or vegetables for your dog as an individual.

An 80/10/10 mixture consists of 80% protein, 10% bone, and 10% offal—three crucial natural elements for your dog's nutrition and overall health:
80% protein: Comprising muscle meat, muscular organ meat, and high-quality meat cuts, protein is abundant in amino acids essential for growth, maintenance, repair, and also includes vital fats for energy.
10% bone: Featuring ground meaty bones, rich in calcium, phosphorus, nutrients, minerals, and vitamins, supporting dental hygiene, mental stimulation, and aiding in the healthy formation and release of stools.
10% offal: Dense in nutrients, offal encompasses organ meat, particularly secreting organs like liver, kidney, pancreas, spleen, or brain, among others.
80/10/10 minces are available in a wide range of single and mixed protein flavors, including game proteins suitable for dogs with intolerances to farmed protein sources. These minces cater to raw feeders seeking the convenience of a nutritionally balanced minced option while allowing the flexibility to incorporate their vegetables, fruits, eggs, and herbal supplements for added nutritional benefits.
The guide for adult dogs is 2%-3% of their body weight (or of their ideal body weight if they are under or overweight), ideally split between two meals a day. Other factors to take into consideration are their age
and level of activity. As each dog is different you may have to experiment to find the correct amount.
We have a feeding chart coming soon but until then just give us a call or drop us a message and we will be glad to help!
All our raw dog food is DEFRA approved, with all our raw food tested and following UK regulations as set by the governing body for the Pet Food Industry.
If you’ve forgotten to take some raw food out from the freezer to defrost the night before, you can defrost it in warm water (making sure it’s in a bag or tub, of course). This usually takes between 30 and 40 minutes
